About us

The concentration camp memorial Laura is an institution of the District Saalfeld-Rudolstadt. In a reorganization of local government in 1994 the memorial is handed over to the new district of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt. In 2010 the district acquired the entire premises that had been behind barbed wire. Finally, in 2012, the district started operating the site with own personnel.
