Birches of torture

The SS-guards used three birches in the camp to tie-up prisoners, that had or were accused of having violated camp rules. The punished prisoners had to spend many hours being bound and were often battered as well. One of the trees was removed after 1953, the remaining two had to be sawed-off for safety reasons in 2009.
