Potato peel pit

The potato peel pit had originally been roofed, but only the concrete pit survived. Presumably an inmate carved the date "15 IX 1944" into the pit. Working in the peel pit was one of the less exhausting tasks in the camp. Being in direct vicinity to the kitchen it provided the chance to get additional food.
